This represents their ownership of, or equity in the Credit Union and is in accordance with a rule that was approved at the 33rd Annual General Meeting; to enable our Credit Union to comply with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Embracing Change, Overcoming Challenges was the theme chosen for our last Strategic Planning Retreat. The theme is a timely one to reflect upon given the current economic challenges facing the country. By the time this message goes to print, the details of the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) would have been public knowledge. The Manchester Co-operative Credit Union (1977) Ltd.
recently donated $150,000 to the Closed to Crime Initiative spearheaded by the
Manchester Chamber of Commerce.
The Credit Union sees the importance of such an initiative in helping to curb
crime in the parish of Manchester.
The Closed to Crime Initiative was spawned out of the concern of Chamber
members who perceived a problem with the rising crime rate throughout the
parish.
