M.C.C.U AWARDS OVER $350,000.00

With the aim of assisting the youth through education, this year the Credit Union awarded over $350,000.00 in scholarships and Bursaries. The awards luncheon was held at the International Chinese Restaurant in Mandeville on Friday September 3^rd, 2004. The guest Speaker for the occasion was Mr. Ruel Reid, J.T.A President Elect.

A total of four awards were granted. The Sydney Carter Scholarship valued at $240,000.00 for two years was awarded to Miss Vanetta Swaby a third year Student at the University of Technology pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Architecture.

Two Bursaries each valuing $60,000.00 were also awarded to Miss Marsha- lee Mullings a second year medical Technology Student at the Northern Caribbean University and also to Mr. Ricardo Mahabeer a final year Student at the University of Technology, pursing a Bachelor in Business Administration with a Major in finance. Miss Lamoyge Fletcher a past Student of Indies Prep School received the GSAT Bursary valued at $ 10,000.00.
