International Credit Union Week 2007This year’s International Credit Union Week commenced with the Credit Union League’s National Church Service on October 14, 2007. Manchester Co-op hosted a series of Member Appreciation Days on October 17, 18 & 19 at the Christiana, Mandeville and Porus branches respectively. The theme this year was “Credit Union’s: Together We’re Better.”

Manchester commenced its series of member appreciation days in Christiana on October 17, 2007. Members were treated with souvenirs, refreshments and also to a lunch hour concert in the parking lot. Members also received discounted prices on phones at the Digicel booth and nurses were present to provide health checks.International Credit Union Week 2007

Gifts and surprises were offered from the Tyre Warehouse booth and members were enticed by the smooth melodious tunes of the Great Vine band and the Christiana High School steel band. The 18th of October was officially celebrated as International Credit Union Day and the Mandeville branch’s member appreciation day. There was a lunch hour concert in the parking lot featuring the Great Vine band and the Christiana High School steel band. Members were treated with enticing refreshment, souvenirs and health checks from nurses of the Mandeville hospital.International Credit Union Week 2007

The members of the Porus branch received similar treats on the 19th of October resulting in three days of exciting activities.


The week’s activities came to an end with a service of worship at the Wesley Methodist Church in Mandeville on October 21, 2007. A big thank you is extended to all the members who supported the activities held during International Credit Union Week.
