A Back to School Fair dubbed "Porus Focus" was held on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at the Credit Union’s Porus Branch. The event attracted a fair turn out with persons visiting and taking part in the day’s activities.

Among the activities were in-branch transactions, a display booth show casing brochures and fliers, dissemination of information on the Credit Union’s products & services, and question & answer giveaways. Additionally, representatives from the Mid Island Educational Supplies Company sold books and other back to school supplies to persons present. From the positive feed back received, it is hoped that this will be made into an annual event for the Porus Community.
